Our beloved pastor, Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Anderlonis, passed away on Friday morning after a brief illness. He was surrounded by friends and family. The news comes as a shock to everyone, and we join with his family, many friends, and the parish of St. George in Port Richmond (where he was pastor for thirty years) in mourning his loss to our lives. He will be sorely missed.
(UPDATED*) Funeral Masses for the repose of his soul are to be held:
- Thursday, December 12*: at St. George’s Church in Port Richmond. Viewing & visitation in the church hall 5-7 pm; Mass at 7 pm.
- Saturday, December 14: at St. Francis de Sales Church in West Philadelphia. Viewing from 9-11 am; Mass at 11 am, with a reception to follow in the parish hall. Interment is private.
- In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. George Independent School or to St. Francis de Sales Parish.
The PREP Nativity pageant scheduled for the evening of December 14 is postponed.
